SINGLE SPINDLE MOVABLE DRILLING LINES
EXCALIBUR MODEL
The Ficep Excalibur is uniquely different than all other single spindles CNC drill lines currently on the market.
This new product line features an exclusive secondary “X” axis with improved accuracy and productivity as it is not necessary to unclamp, reposition and re-clamp for each “X” axis (length axis) movement. This capability also permits scribing on all four surfaces to eliminate all manual layout which can be automatically imported from CAD systems as DSTV file or Tekla in the form of an XML file. The secondary axis also provides the ability to generate slotted holes, copes and large holes that exceed the maximum capability of the Excalibur machine.
The Ficep monospindle spindle drill line systems are studied to reach the needs of the customers in terms of fast process with a quite low investments.
Automatic CNC beam line for drilling shaped and flat profiles. FICEP Excalibur is the first monospindle gantry drilling line to process beams for the steel construction industry working with the cantilever system. The machine is hanging on and moves along its loading table. This simple and brilliant solution is the perfect choice to small and mid-size steel fabricators.
Thanks to a set of wheels mounted on bearings, the drilling unit main body slides on a sturdy support crossing the loading table.
This support is equipped with a rack that and pinion that guarantees the machine precise movement. An electro-mechanical sensor surveys the piece origin and allows to start the working cycle. The piece to be processed does not move and it’s strongly clamped in the working position by an automatic double-effect hold-down (top and bottom clamping).
The marking unit is suitable to mark the upper side of the plate and its cross positioning is obtained through the Y axis.
It is fitted with a disc holder for characters whose rotation is CNC controlled by means of a servomotor.
Scribing
Device for automatic scribing operations through drilling unit. This device is supplied with a special tool and a self-adapting system, which is automatically adjusted according to the material deformation.
